Walks in the countryside on the reclaimed land of former Rødby Fjord with canals and pumping stations in the landscape. Prior to draining the fjord, boats could sail into the town of Rødby, now 5 km in land. The nature reserve Hyllekrog-Saksfjed located at the Eastern end of the dike is one of Denmark’s most important for migratory birds of pray and resting wading birds, geese and ducks. Several walks are organized throughout the year, except 1 April – 15 July when the Hyllekrog area is closed off for visitors during breeding time. The Saksfjed area is open all year round.
